- A hip hop-themed wrestling game featuring a murderers' row of cool Def Jam artists? Sign me up.
- I played the Story mode all night for some reason. Even though I have been enjoying the characters and style of the game, the gameplay is slowly starting to get on my nerves. It does so for the same reason that all wrestling games tend to annoy me after a while. As far as I see it, the problem is loss of control. A key part of any wrestling game is setups and throws, which in almost all of them takes control away from one player, while the other is doing a sequence of moves. This loss of control is frustrating, because the receiving player has to wait and watch his health slowly but surely decrease. A lot of the games have a counter mechanic, where you can interrupt such a sequence, but the counters are usually tricky to pull off, to ensure that the other player can enjoy executing the throws.
- The Story mode is the usual sports game story mode with training, messages from trainers and opponents, and tournaments. Kinda boring, despite the fun settings and characters.
